National Law University (NLU), New Delhi was established in the year 2008. It is a public university. NLUD was inaugurated by the then President of India, Pratibha Patil. The courses offered by the University are approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The university has various research centers.


The University has a state of the art infrastructure with an academic block & administration block. It is located in sector 14, Dwarka, New Delhi. The campus is spread over 21 acres of land. It is well-connected with public transportation.


NLUD offers the facility of the library with a huge collection of catalogs, contemporary and historical legal materials, books, journals, newspapers along with CDs and DVDs, etc.

The University has computer centers & digital classrooms with digital podiums, LCD projector & display screen and internet (wi-fi) access.

Other facilities offered by the university are a fully air-conditioned auditorium, seminar rooms, E-moot court hall, Bank, cafeteria, medical center, gym, indoor & outdoor sports/games, & transport facility.

The university did not offer admission into UG law course on the basis of CLAT like other NLUs.

If you wish to take admission in BA LLB (Hons.) course, then you should appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) after 12th.

Admission in the LLM course is based on a written test which is organized by the University followed by the Interview.

A candidate should have passed the LLB or an equivalent degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% or aggregate marks to get admission into the LLM course.
